LL4: Kilmore Quay Posted by Stuart on 22/03/09 11:00 For those of you that missed Bull Island, there is another orienteering league event on Sunday 22nd on sand dunes in Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford. The drive should take 2 hours so unfortunately we'll be leaving at 930am. However, if the weather holds (it is the sunny south east!) it'll be well worth it. Kilmore Quay is a busy fishing harbour (no village, just a harbour) in a very scenic part of the country.
... IMRA Mountain Running Intervarsities Posted by Stuart on 21/03/09 11:00 The mountain running Intervarsities take place this Saturday in Crone Wood, near Enniskerry. It is a short 7k race, mostly on trails, but will suit all abilities. The route is fully marked so you can give your brain a rest! The race starts at 11am sharp. Snow permitting, UCDO will make an attempt to hold our Leinster Spring Cup event on Kanturk Mountain on Tuesday, 17th March (St. Patrick's Day). Event details are as follows (same as before):Parking is along the forest road
beside the Inchavore River (O 114 050) - used for the Leinster Champs
in 2007 and several Rogaines. Access is from the Military Road, and we
recommend you approach from the Laragh direction. The forest entrance
is roughly 3k north of Glenmacnass Waterfall. Note, the event will not
be signposted from Enniskerry as on the fixtures list!
Parking will be down the forest road. Keep going
until you meet another car! The surface is reason... Bulgaria Cupa Veliken 4-Day Posted by Stuart on 17/03/09 11:00 Some members of UCDO and UCCO will be attending the Bulgaria Cup 4-Day just after Easter. As usual, we're taking a few days either side of the trip so we'll be away from April 13th to 22nd. Entries have to be in this weekend so let us know asap if you're interested. LL2: Bull Island Posted by Stuart on 15/03/09 11:00 If one day's orienteering at the Intervarsities isn't enough, we'll also be going to Bull Island in Dublin on Sunday for a league event.
